Nestled just a leisurely 10-minute stroll from the historic centre of Carlisle, the Angus Hotel proved to be an excellent choice during my recent trip. On arrival, we were welcomed warmly by the owners, who made us feel right at home in their charming guesthouse, which boasts an inviting mix of character and comfort. Our room was spacious, impeccably clean, and equipped with all the essentials, including an en-suite bathroom, free WiFi, and, my personal favourite—a kettle for that much-needed cup of tea after a long day of exploring. A delightful surprise was the complimentary cooked-to-order breakfast featuring my favourite poached eggs. One of the standout features, aside from the amiable hosts, was the convenient location – we could easily access Carlisle's rich history, including the impressive Tullie House Museum. If you’re seeking an accommodating place with a touch of warmth, I'd recommend the Angus Hotel without hesitation!
